Legal Advice Centre Team
The Legal Advice Centre is made up of our team of staff, student volunteers and pro bono-solicitors. You can read more about these individuals on the pages below.
Christopher is a solicitor and senior lecturer in law. He was one of the founding trustees of Suffolk Law Centre, and his research interests are in charity law, equity and trusts, while his work as a solicitor is in probate and cross border succession. He seeks to make the law accessible to students, putting what they are learning into the context of daily working life, and is driven to use the law to benefit wider society and those most in need of support.
Megan is the Legal Assistant for the Legal Advice Centre. Megan completed her Bachelor of Law with Criminology Degree in 2022 at the Â鶹 receiving a 1st Class degree, and during her final year, helped to establish the Legal Advice Centre, advising clients in both Family Law and Business Law. Alongside her position as Legal Assistant, she is also completing her Solicitors Qualifying Exam, and training to become a solicitor. Megan has also taught as an Occasional Lecturer on the Family Law module and Contract Law modules at the Â鶹.
Dr Atilla Kasap is a law and technology scholar who joined the Â鶹 as a Knowledge Exchange Fellow in Law in March 2026. Atilla’s research aims to bridge the gap between emerging technologies and the law, focusing on the intersections of intellectual property, artificial intelligence and robotics, legal liability for emerging technologies, and data privacy. In recognition of his contributions to the field of law and technology, he was endorsed as an exceptional talent by the British Academy. Prior to joining Suffolk, he secured prestigious funding from the Japan Patent Office and conducted research as an Invited Researcher at the Institute of Intellectual Property in Tokyo.
Logan Vidalet
Logan is our placement student for the Legal Advice Centre this year. Logan is in the second year of his degree and volunteered in his first year at the Legal Advice Centre too. He is eager to broaden his knowledge further during his placement and to assist with the supervision of our student volunteers.
Our student volunteers range from first year students to third year students, all of whom are very enthusiastic about gaining experience in advising clients about different issues. The students have played a crucial role in selecting the areas of law we provide advice in. They are very passionate about these areas of law, as they believe they are relevant and beneficial to the public and community in Suffolk.
